How many counselling sessions will I need?
A counselling plan will be set up to include any specific details about what you are looking to achieve, how many sessions we have agreed on and any particular information you feel is suitable for consideration during the sessions. The plan will be regularly reviewed to update if needed. Allowing us to work together to personalise your counselling experience. There are no fixed limitations on the number of sessions you can have.
How much does each session last and cost?
Sessions last approximately 50 minutes and cost £47 per session. Your counselling plan will confirm the details of your agreed payment option. Each session can be paid for individually before the session takes place. A discount may apply if an agreed number of sessions are paid for upfront. 24 hours’ notice of changing appointments is recommended. Concessions are also considered in particular circumstances. The following forms of payment are accepted: bank transfer or cash.
Where will my sessions be held?
Your counselling sessions can be held in person in an agreed location or online. A telephone call may be suitable in certain situations.
Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my next counselling session?
In certain situations, appropriate out of session tasks may be agreed and tried. This process helps us to achieve the best outcome for your unique circumstances. You will always play an active role in your counselling.
What about confidentiality?
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy there are set confidentiality rules to adhere to during counselling sessions. You will be regularly advised of your rights. This is the most beneficial way to keep you safe alongside protecting your privacy.
What can I expect from counselling?
Solaris Counselling will work with you to find out what your wellbeing concerns are. By getting to know you and building a professional rapport, we can apply suitable therapeutic tools to target the root cause of your problems. We can then work towards building resilience by learning suitable options to improve the way you think, feel, and behave. Through encouraged therapeutic practises and reviews during the sessions, we can help you to live a more satisfying lifestyle.
Are there any other services provided by Solaris Counselling?
I also provide relaxation sessions. Suitable Mindfulness techniques are discussed, practised, and narrowed down to pinpoint what suits your individual needs, to promote self-care. These sessions last 30 minutes and cost £32 each.
What is General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)?
The purpose of GDPR is to protect individuals and the data that describes them. This also ensures the organisation collects data in a responsible manner. The GDPR mandates personal data to maintain it safely; in part the regulation states personal data must be protected against “unauthorised or unlawful processing, and against accidental loss, destruction or damage.”
